Sale of antique coins?
Have inherited several antique coins , some dating back to 18th century, but don’t want to sell on e-bay as note selling rates for coins are not good apart from no indication of value of the coin and sending for valuation is costly. Where can I sell such coins and not fear of being cheated ? Where can I access to genuine collectors who will look at the coins or get a free valuation?
Unfortunately ebay is most likely your best bet..and yes, prices are low. Unless a coin is mint, rare, highly sought after, etc. the prices just suck. Same with stamps..just very soft market at present.
Try a local coin shop, an online website for collectors, etc. Good luck.
