Anyone have a favorite antique store in or around Dayton Ohio?
Any suggestions around Dayton or the outlying areas around it for a really good antique store or antique mall?
I mean the kind with quality furniture and nice things that you don’t have to repair or refinish before they can be put in your house.
Every store I went in today had a few nice things that I looked at before being told that they were display pieces and not for sale, and the rest of the store was…not so nice. I came home empty handed.
I understand wanting the store displays to be attractive, but is it odd for dealers to have their best things “not for sale”?
So, if you know of a great store, especially the ones east of Dayton and within a twenty mile drive of there, please give me your recommendations – I promise that I won’t buy any of the things you had your eye on!
Northeast of Dayton is Tipp City, they have 2 or 3 stores and of course, there is the antique mall east of Springfield off route 70, but it is 5 miles east of Springfield, so it is farther than 20 miles(probably 30 miles) from Dayton. I hope that helps you.
