eBay selling/shipping tips?
I plan to sell some of my antiques on eBay. I’ve looked up information on them and prices of how much the items cost. What I’m asking is How can I make this less stressfull on myself? I don’t plan to rip anyone off and I plan to be completely honest (if there is a chip or defect, then I will let the buyer know). Can I post some of these rules on my items that are/will be up for bid? Do you have any more suggestions to make this easier for me?

2. Item will not be shipped until payment is received
Is there any way I can not be held accountable for lost or damaged items in the mail? If I ship it out perfectly.
Any other tips are very welcome.
This question could take hours to explain. First, I would take some of the stress out of the process by using a FREE service called AUCTIVA….I’ve used it for a year now and LOVE it because…..it is FREE!!
Seriously, it takes away the stress because you can write and store ALL your auctions there until YOU are ready to sell them. I would save them up and wait for eBay to have a posting sale and start the items at the price that they should sell for. Right now, the market is VERY depressed due in part to eBay and how they have treated their sellers (HUGE price hikes in the comission charges) Paypal issues, etc.
I stopped selling on eBay until next month–prices are down that much.
So take the BEST pics you can (on AUCTIVA you can have up to 24 pics for FREE!!!!)
Write the best description you can. Create folders and store things there until you have 10-30 auctions ready to go.
SPELLCHECK
Go find big dog dealers on eBay (ususally Power Sellers) and read their terms and take what works for you and add it to your terms.
ANYTHING breakable–automatic insurance
TRACK everything!
PAYPAL sucks, but eBay owns Paypal and they won’t allow many other payment options, but for SURE take a money order.
Read the seller boards from eBay and ask questions there–they usually are helpful (link below.)
If you are not sure how much something would cost to ship, pack it up and bring it to the post office (and UPS store, etc) for an estimate. USPS—get Priority mail rate & parcel post to a zip code FAR away from you.
If you are in a big enough town, think about CRAIGSLIST too!
