Please help us find my ring?
My partner and I are looking for an engagement ring for me–with a dark red ruby(s), platinum (or 18k white gold). I would love for it to be antique. We’ve started looking at antique stores in our city, but haven’t found “the one.” We’ve tried Ebay a bit, too.
Does anyone have suggestions for a great place (online or in-person…we’re in Canada…) we could find a ring that fits the above description? We are on a budget, too (like most people), so nothing extravagant. Thanks!
Speedy, thanks for all the Googling. These sites don’t really have any in 18k white gold or platinum like I specified, though–they’re mostly costume jewelry sites.
I would direct you to Topazery, an online store for vintage and estate jewelry. You can search by gem “ruby” using the search box in the upper right hand corner of the page. Turtle Love Committee is a site that has garnet rings that look like ruby–less durable though:( and you can also try searching Etsy.com for “ruby engagement ring” Good luck! I have a sapphire engagement ring and I love it (same gem, different color…)
