Consumer Habits Question: is anyone else so disgusted with the quality of goods available for purchase in most?
main-stream retail stores right now that you find yourself having to go to antique stores to buy furniture, briefcases, home furnishings, etc? I’m doing fine money-wise, and I’m not afraid to spend money if I find something that’s worth spending money on, but most of what I see available for purchase nowadays is pathetic garbage that’s imported from China.
Is anyone else to the point where when you walk through a Wal-Mart or Target it’s nothing more to you than piles of garbage that you wouldn’t keep if someone gave it to you for free?
I blame corporate America for their union-busting. Those companies that produce Union-Made goods in the USA are still top notch. I buy Knapp shoes and Snap-On tools and those are still just as good as they ever were.
There’s definitely a lot of junk out there.
