Are Coca-Cola bottles heat resistant?
I have a retro/remake of the 1899 coca cola bottle and was wondering if coke bottles could take heat or could be heat resistant.
The reason I ask is because I’d like to get the bottom removed so I could use it as the lamp chimney glass for an oil lamp.

Will the GLASS MELT? If the flame is inside the bottle will the bottle melt?
I’ve seen glass melt under a normal flame so i can’t help but wonder.
Yes, glass is a bad conductor of heat,thats why heat does not flow throgh it easily.
