Twilight Zone or Amazing Stories type show form 80′s?
I remember this form the 80′s. Set in the 30′s a young man lives with his parents. Buys an Auburn Boattail Speedster and various toys. His father throws him out of the house. There was a leprecaun type guy that kept telling this young man to buy his toys and not listen to anyone else.
The guy ends up living in a shack now an old man, loaded with junk. He loses his house somehow, so drives out of the desert to a gas station. He has no money except some change in a swtrange looking mug. While counting his change at the pump, a well to do lady offers him like 650 for the mug.
At the end of the story, the old man is at an auction with his car etc., which of course are all now valueable antiques and the leprecaun is grinning.
Anyone else remember this?

If you remember it from the ’80s then it was probably from Amazing Stories.
