How much is my antique cast iron safe worth?
I’m not planning to sell it, so I don’t need anything exact. I’m just curious because it’s in decent condition. Thank you for any help you can give.

It has 4 wheels, also cast iron.
There is a combination lock, and it works.
P.S. Sorry, I had no idea what category to put this in. hehe
No way to say for sure with this info. Victor made a lot of safes. For example, is it smaller than 18″ x 18″, or is it a bank vault? It’s probably a 3-wheel lock (which would have 4 numbers). Victor did not make 4-wheel locks (5- number), although it could be retrofit.
A typical 1890′s Victor business-class floor safe with good paint will sell for $200-$300 if you can find a collector, and safe collectors are not exactly as common as baseball card collectors. But I can promise there’s a few in every town. In pristine condition – no scratches, no rust, you have the combo, everything works – you can get $1000 for something with nice paint and accents. Accents example would be silver or copper trim or clawed feet – although I think all of them after 1890 were casters, or elegant paint work.
Sometimes you can also get lucky and unload one for $500-$600 to somebody wanting to use it as a decoration.
