Longines Antique watch?
I’m trying find out the value of a ladies Longines antique watch, that was probably made in the 30′s or 40′s. Where would be the best place to find such information? I’ve tried ebay to find the watch, but I only found similar models. The watch has no name other than the maker.
For anyone who may know about watches:
It’s 14k gold, with a rectangular face. The word Longines is on the face along with the numbers 12 and 6. (Dots replace the other numbers)
The details next the face almost resemble the shape of a bow. It’s a bracelet style watch with a safety chain.
Go to a good bookstore, like Border’s, or a good local independent bookseller in your town. Ask at the help desk for guides to antiques, in specific watches and jewelry.

Remember, the price an antiques dealer will offer you is probably less than half of what they think they will be able to sell it for. You’ll get a better price if you sell it yourself.
