Anyone know what this antique (nautical?) instrument is?
Umm I’m wondering what this thing is.. It was hanging on a wall as a decoration in a room with a nautical theme. I thought it was some kind of old barometer or something, but I can’t find anything similar on google images.. And sorry, that is sideways..

I was glad to hear you said it was sideways .Because it was used to detect how much the ship was listing from side to side or port to starboard. also forward and aft. The two arrows were weighted and moved freely and as the ship listed you just had to look at the reading on the bottom of the gage to tell how much it was listing.
